Haryana Government has changed the HPSC HCS exam pattern with immediate effect. Under the new rules, the HPSC HCS Prelims CSAT paper(Paper-II) will be of qualifying in nature and the marks will not be considered for the prelims result. The candidates need to secure 33% marks in the CSAT paper to qualify it. The HPSC HCS 2020 prelims exam pattern will be conducted as per the new exam pattern.

Haryana Public Service Commission(HPSC) conducts the Haryana Civil Service (HCS) exam to recruit the candidates for various state government services. HCS exam is conducted for the following services:

  • Haryana government officials (Executive Branch)
  • Deputy Superintendent of Police(D.S.P.)
  • Excise and Taxation Officer
  • District Food and Supplies Controller
  • ‘A’ Class Tehsildar
  • Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies
  • Assistant Excise & Taxation Officer
  • Block Development & Panchayat Officer
  • Traffic Manager
  • District Food & Supplies Officer

 Eligibility The eligibility criteria for the HCS exam is based on three parameters including age limit, educational qualification, and physical standards.
Educational Qualifications Required for HCS
A candidate applying for this exam must have completed his/her graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
Also, the candidates in the final year of their graduation degree course are eligible to apply for the exam but the date of the final year mark sheet or score sheet must be before the closing date of HCS.
The degree certificate/ mark sheet should be provided to the candidates before the HCS closing date.
Post announcement of the exam, candidates get 30 days to complete HCS application.
