SSC CHSL New Exam Date for Tier-1

SSC CHSL Exam Date 2020

SSC has released the tentative new exam schedule for the SSC CHSL 2020 exam. The Tier-1 computer based online exam was scheduled to be conducted from 17th to 28th March,2020 but thanks to complete lockdown in India, CHSL exam from 20th March to 28th has been postponed. CHSL exam was coducted for first 3 days (17th, 18th and 1h). The exam for remaining candidates are going to be conducted from 17th to 21st and 24th to 27th August 2020.

SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria

There are 3 important criteria which a candidate must fulfill so as to be eligible for the SSC CHSL 2020. the three parameters are given below:

1. Citizenship:

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a topic of Nepal, or
(c) a topic of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came to visit to India, before the first January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) an individual of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

2. Age Limit: 

regulation for the posts is 18-27 years as on 01-01-2020 (i.e. Candidates born not before 01-01-1993 and not later than 01-01-2002). Permissible relaxation in upper regulation for various categories are as below:

3. Educational Qualification:


For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): The candidates who is getting to appear in CHSL 2020 exam must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. For Data Entry Operator (DEO) within the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a topic from a recognized Board or equivalent.

SSC CHSL Tier-II Exam Pattern

SSC CHSL Tier-II may be a descriptive sort of test. so as to assess the writing skills of candidates in English/Hindi, the candidates need to qualify Tier-II. This written test comprises of an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter/Application writing of about 150-200 words. The minimum marks that a candidate must score in SSC CHSL Tier-II are 33 per cent.

General Awareness Syllabus for SSC CHSL

Questions from General Awareness section are designed to test the candidate’s general knowledge of the environment around him and its 14 application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy, Static Awareness, Indian GK and scientific research.

General Intelligence Syllabus for SSC CHSL

This section includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal reasoning. SSC CHSL Syllabus: Tier II

SSC CHSL Tier II exam may be a descriptive paper of 100 marks conducted in Pen and Paper mode just for the candidates who qualified Tier I. there’s no negative marking for wrong attempts in SSC CHSL Tier II exam.

The paper will need to be written either in Hindi or in English. Candidates must secure a minimum of 33% marks so as to clear Tier II round of SSC CHSL Exam.

SSC CHSL Tier III Syllabus

Tier-III of SSC CHSL 2020 are going to be a Skill/ Typing Test of qualifying nature. the ultimate merit of the chosen candidates are going to be supported the idea of total score obtained in Tier-I and Tier-II.

Skill test for the post of knowledge Entry Operator:

In this test, a candidate should have data entry speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour.

Skill test for the post of knowledge Entry Operator within the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG):
