IBPS PO Recruitment

Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) are recruited per annum through a standard Written Examination(CWE), commonly referred to as the IBPS PO exam. The CWE was started in 2011 and is being conducted for the eighth time this year and hence is officially called IBPS PO /MT XIII 2023.The IBPS PO selection process consists of three phases (preliminary, mains and interview) and therefore the candidate must qualify each of them to proceed to subsequent phase. Mentioned below are the important steps of the IBPS PO Recruitment Process:

Online Preliminary Examination: An adequate number ofcandidates in each category are shortlisted byIBPS depending upon requirements for Online Main Examination

Online Mains Examination:Candidates must qualifythe sectional also as overall cutoff within the main exam to be eligible for interview.

Interview: Interview are goingto be conducted bythe Participating Organizations and coordinated bythe Nodal
Bankin each State/ UT with the assistance of IBPS

Provisional Allotment: The provisional allotment of the qualified candidate is released on the official website. The IBPS Banks are allotted supported candidates’ preferences which are made at the time of online application.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern

IBPS released new exam pattern for IBPS PO Exam. The exam pattern are goingto be similar for IBPS PO also . There is separate sectional timingfor everysections in preliminary examination . IBPS PO Exam are goingto be conducted in three phases: preliminary examination , Mains Exam and Interview Process. It is mandatoryfor a candidate to clear each level of examination to urge selected to the post of Probationary Officer in multiple Public Sector Banks.

IBPS introduced separate sectional timing for each sections in preliminary exam. The IBPS PO exam (CWE 12) for hiring candidates will be based on an online written exam in two parts: Tier 1 or IBPS Preliminary Exam and Tier 2 or IBPS Mains Exam. This examination is followed by a face-to-face interview process.

IBPS PO Preliminary Exam Pattern:

The IBPS PO preliminary examination are goingto be conducted online and candidates are allocated total duration of 1 hour to finish the preliminary exam. It consists of three sections with a complete of 100 questions and maximum score of 100 marks. There is negative markingin IBPS PO preliminary examination and 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer attempted by a candidate. It is necessaryto clear the cut-off altogether 3 sections to qualifyfor the IBPS POMain exam.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern:

Introduction of Descriptive Paper: a bit like SBI PO Exam, IBPS introduced Descriptive Paper in its Mains Examination where candidates are goingto be judged on their written skills. An essay and a letter are goingto be given to candidates to write down which will constitute of 25 marks which hasgot to be completed during a time span of 30 minutes.

• No separate paper are goingto be conducted for Computer Applications. Reasoningis teamed up with Computer Aptitude section and this complete section will contain 45 questions of a complete of 60 marks.

IBPS PO Interview Process:

Candidates who qualifythe Mains Exam are finallyinvolved the Interview Process byIBPS. The Interview Process will constituteof 100 marks and therefore the minimum marks for qualifyingthis round are goingto be 40% which is reduced to 35% for candidates belongingto SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories.

Penaltyfor Wrong Answers: 0.25 marks are goingto be deducted for each question attempted wrong by a candidate in both IBPS PO preliminary examination and IBPS PO Mains Exam. there’ll be no deduction ofmarks for an issue left blank/unattempted by a candidate.

Final Selection: The final selection of the candidate to the post of Probationary Officer are goingto be made bytakinginto consideration the cumulative score ofMains Exam and therefore the interview Process. The weightage of both these phases of examination are goingto be within the ratio 80:20 respectively. A merit list are goingto be generated after the Interview Process of IBPS PO Exam has been conducted. Candidates who make it to the list are goingto be thus offered the joiningletter bythe Bank of their choice.

IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria –

Educational Qualification

Graduation Degree: The eligibilitycriteria for the IBPS CWE exam is as basic as a graduation degree (BA, BCom, BSc, B.Tech or as such) in any discipline from a Universityrecognized bythe govt of India. Anysuch candidate who has received equivalent qualification which is recognized bythe Central Government is additionally eligible to use for this
exam.

The candidates must be in possession of a legitimate Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that certifies that they’re a
graduate on the daytheyregisters for this exam, and must indicate the share ofmarks obtained in Graduation while
registeringfor the IBPS Bank-PO examination.

Computer Literacy: Workingknowledge ofcomputer systems is important for the work also on give the IBPS PO exam which is conducted in online mode.

Language Proficiency: Verbal and written proficiencyin official language of the State/UT is desirable. The candidate must be readyto read, write and speakthe language.

Nationality/ Citizenship of Applicants: A candidate applyingfor IBPS CWE/Bank PO Examination must be one among the following:

1. Citizen of India

2. Subject of Nepal or Bhutan

3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement

4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, SriLanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire,Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

Candidates belongingto the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibilityissued bythe govt. of India in their favour.

Age Eligibility of candidates applying for IBPS Bank PO Examination:
